Join Bendigo Car Club, Ladies in Automotive and us on Saturday 15 April at the Huntly Saleyards in Bendigo for the Bendigo Car Club Introduction to Motorsport course.
This event is open to females aged 12 & up to learn everything you’d like to know about getting started in grassroots motorsport in a supportive and inclusive environment. And thanks to the Victorian Government’s Community Motorsport Program & the Bendigo Car Club, it’s FREE!
This introduction to motorsport event consists of both theory and practical aspects of getting started in different motorsport genres including motorkhanas, hillclimbs, track days and supersprints.
Bring your own car and increase your confidence in your car’s handling capabilities. A car will be available for use for junior participants.
The event includes your Motorsport Australia introductory licence and lunch.
The theory component will consist of
- An overview of motorsport in Australia
- The different grassroots motorsport genres you can get started in
- Fundamentals of cornering
- Motorsport jargon
- Apparel requirements
- What the different flags mean
- Car preparation
- Brakes and tyres for motorsport
- Where to spend your money
- What happens on event day/s
- Basic car maintenance
The practical component will consist of a motorkhana come & try where you will learn your car’s handling capabilities whilst having lots of fun!
There will also be goody bags!
